Experience

Jamie has worked as a freelance writer for over a decade, starting with a neighborhood news outlet in Mesa, Arizona called Up Close in 2012. Upon graduating with her journalism degree, she began writing for Thrillist Phoenix as well as a variety of local outlets including PHOENIX magazine and So Scottsdale! magazine. Today, she writes for Business Insider, The Washington Post, Eater, Thrillist, and Wide Open Country. She joined the Static Media team in 2023.

Education

Jamie has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in mass communication from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She is also an alumna of Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
