Old El Paso Just Launched 2 First-Of-Its-Kind Taco Kits
As proud celebrants of Taco Tuesday, we're always excited by products that will enhance our favorite mealtime tradition. So, it's good news that Old El Paso has rolled out some unique new taco products that are going to amp up your home taco nights in new ways. Coming this month to Walmart, and to an expanded assortment of coast-to-coast retailers later this summer are two kits from the grocery store stalwart: a Birria Taco Kit and Breakfast Taco Kit. The company is also expanding its existing line of Carb Advantage offerings, providing more choices for consumers who want all the cheesy, spicy kick of delicious tacos with fewer carbohydrates.
Jenny Jonker, Brand Experience Manager at Old El Paso, said in a press release that "[W]e know that taco lovers crave bold flavors and easy mealtime solutions so we're always looking for ways to make mealtime more flavorful and effortless [...] our latest lineup makes it easier than ever to enjoy tacos any time of day." In other words, lovers of adventurous tacos should buckle up. You thought adding two unexpected ingredients to your taco bar was an upgrade? With the new kits, everything you need for birria tacos or breakfast tacos is right in the box.
All the details on the new Old El Paso taco kits
Birria is a serious buzzword on FoodTok right now, and Old El Paso is capitalizing on the trend. The dipping tacos featuring stewed meat are famously delicious, but also notoriously long on prep time in the kitchen. Old El Paso is hoping that its Birria Taco Kit, equipped with 10 soft tortillas, signature Tex-Mex seasoning, and creamy chipotle sauce for topping, will bring those flavors to you with less effort. All you really need to do is add your protein of choice.
And while we've heard of elevating breakfast tacos by frying an egg on the tortilla, Old El Paso is making breakfast tacos even more accessible with its Breakfast Taco Kit. Featuring six tortillas, green chile sauce, and queso, all you need are some eggs and maybe some sausage or bacon to "create a flavorful and satisfying breakfast that will jump-start your day with deliciousness and ease," as per Old El Paso's press release. We can't help but think that kicking off the morning with tacos sounds like an excellent way to put your best foot forward.
