Selena Gomez's McDonald's Order Is Relatable For Sauce Lovers

Turns out that famous people really are just like us — and some stars even have their favorite McDonald's orders. But we were floored by one celeb's drive-thru pick at the Golden Arches because, honestly, it's mega-relatable.
Selena Gomez is known for starring in all manner of media, including the popular "Only Murders in the Building." But one of our most-loved Selena Gomez memories is the time that she visited McDonald's with James Corden on a Carpool Karaoke segment for "The Late Late Show" back in 2016. Immortalized on YouTube, the clip shows a 20-something Gomez happily chowing down on a combo meal including a Ranch BLT with chicken, and dipping her fries in what looks like barbecue sauce. As big-time sauce lovers ourselves (remember the time that the McDonald's Szechuan dipping sauce nearly caused riots?), we seriously could not have bigger heart-eyes for Gomez's order.
At McDonald's, the sauce makes the meal
If you search the web, you will stumble upon dozens McDonald's sauce rankings. A lot of these are takes that could only be described as "scalding hot" (If sweet and sour isn't in the top three, they are basically frauds) but they bear witness to the fact that human sauce preferences truly run the gamut. According to McDonald's, there are six unique dipping sauces on the menu — barbecue, Buffalo, ranch, sweet and sour, honey mustard, and honey — along with ketchup, mustard, and mayo. And everyone has their go-to.
Dipping McNuggets or fries in sauce like Gomez is absolutely delicious, but there are other ways to get your sauce fix, too. How about adding Buffalo sauce to your McChicken for a spicy, value-priced treat? Or slathering some ranch on your Quarter Pounder? You could also try executing a hack reminiscent of In-N-Out's famous "animal style" preparation by ordering a side of Big Mac sauce and a slice of cheese to melt over your fries. We have a sneaking suspicion that Selena Gomez just might approve of a little creativity in the drive-thru lane.
