DoorDash's 2025 Super Bowl Ad Features Out-Of-This-World Spending

If you're a fan of food delivery, this year's crop of Super Bowl commercials offers several hilarious and witty clips that will get you chuckling as you order dinner. Uber Eats' 2025 spot features culinary doyenne Martha Stewart cracking jokes with Charli XCX, while Instacart's ad goes all in with some of your favorite grocery store mascots. Now, DoorDash has come through with their own advertisement for their big game, promoting the savings that come along with their DashPass subscription.

While Taylor Swift and other VIPS are eating gourmet food in the suites at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, there's a good chance that, unless you're cooking, your noshes for the event will be delivered from your favorite restaurant. DoorDash is banking on you wanting to save big on that meal you're ordering. Will you save enough money to buy a mansion or rent your own opera singer? Most likely not ... but the commercial, ready to watch on YouTube, makes light of saving money with a main character (played by comedian Nate Bargatze) who can't stop spending.

DashPass might inspire you to live large with savings

In the DoorDash spot, the main character's financial advisor pleads with him to stop spending money as he plays polo on horseback in front of a lavish home. He insists that his money is fine, as he has DashPass. He explains that he saved six dollars on a delivery, so he was able to clone himself three times. Then, a moment later, he tells his advisor that he didn't pay a delivery fee for the dog toys he ordered, so he hired an opera singer to sing compliments to him all day long — the singer, by the way, is shown in subtitles to be singing insults. The ad is ludicrous and silly in all the best ways, while still reinforcing the idea that you can save cash on delivery fees with DoorDash's DashPass subscription.

All our favorite Super Bowl ads this year have injected some whimsy into their message, and the DashPass commercial is no different. You may not actually save enough money with the service to buy a giant disco ball (another of the scenes in the ad), but every dollar counts, as the old saying goes.
