Bud Light's 2025 Super Bowl Ad Hilariously Brings Back Dad Socks And Cul De Sac Parties
The most-watched sporting event in the country is just around the corner as fans gear up for a gridiron battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Still, for some folks out there, the big game is all about seeing the entertaining commercials that hit the screen when the action slows down. Hellman's will air an ad featuring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan referencing "When Harry Met Sally," and Uber Eats has partnered with food celebrity royalty for its commercial. Yet, the iconic brand many folks get excited to hear from is Bud Light. This year, the company is airing a priceless take on cul de sac parties featuring Post Malone and Shane Gillis.
As the two celebrities sit in lawn chairs wearing shorts with socks pulled up close to their knees, they are inspired by a neighbor to get a party started. Armed with modified leaf blowers and a comically long cooler full of beer, the duo begins launching cans of Bud Light to everyone in the neighborhood. Before long, a cul de sac party is in full swing, with football legend Peyton Manning joining in on the festivities.
No one drinks beer in the Bud Light commercial
In a separate advertisement featuring the celebrity duo relaxing in their driveway while sporting the same dad gear, Malone brings a can of Bud Light to his lips — then Gillis warns him not to take a drink. He states that people aren't allowed to drink beer in beer commercials, which is actually true. The two begin counting down to the end of the commercial as Malone slowly lifts his can toward his mouth, anticipating a refreshing swig of Bud Light in moments to come.
While there is currently no federal regulation barring beer consumption during advertisements, most beer companies and TV networks don't really want to see it. It may be a way of projecting a sense of responsibility and ensuring that underage consumption is not encouraged, but whatever the reason, you won't see anyone drinking Bud Light in the Super Bowl commercial on February 9. However, based on an adorable Super Bowl teaser from Bud Light's sibling Budweiser, you will once again see the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales returning to your TV screen.
