The release, coming to the McDonald's menu on April 22, is an homage to the American Delta region featuring a Southern-style fried chicken filet topped with crinkle cut pickles, applewood smoked bacon, and a creamy, bold Cajun ranch sauce, all on a warm toasted potato roll. However, the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy likely won't be around forever; it's only being sold for a limited time at participating locations.
It's different than its other chicken sandwiches
The McCrispy has been a regular menu item for roughly a year and a half, and the Spicy McCrispy has been sold right alongside it. The original is a prominent seller, and straightforward in its recipe, consisting of breaded, fried chicken topped with crinkle-cut pickles on a roll. Its spicy doppelganger isn't much different, jazzed up with a Spicy Pepper Sauce, that brings the heat.
McDonald's latest variation of the McCrispy adds flavorful applewood smoked bacon and introduces a signature spicy Cajun Ranch sauce. For those looking for a bit more heat than the McCrispy but something tamer than the Spicy McCrispy, this may just fit the bill. And as with the original pair, you can order both the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy and its spicy twin deluxe style, which adds shredded lettuce and slices of tomato. But if you want to get your hands on either one, you'll have to act fast — there is no telling how long the Golden Arches will run this offer.

This coming Monday, participating McDonald's locations will start selling the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy. Beyond when it starts, no time frame for the offer has been given, so if it sounds like something you want to try, check your nearest location soon.
