Dunkin' May Soon Add A New Coffee Inspired By A Rich, Chocolatey Dessert

As we roll into December, it's hard to think much past the craziness of the fast-approaching winter holidays. And yet, the wheel of the fast food year rolls on. Just the other day, we got a potential leak of Chick-fil-A's January 2025 menu — and, now, thanks to the Snackolator account on Instagram, we may have our first look at what Dunkin' is bringing to the table for the New Year!

Per the Insta page, which focuses on covering new fast food releases, Dunkin' has big plans for New Year's Eve. On December 31st, the coffee giant is allegedly rolling out its Winter Menu, complete with a Lava Cake Signature Latte that will make chocolate fans go loco for lava! It's said to consist of a Dunkin' latte flavored with Lava Cake Swirl, topped with a towering pillar of whipped cream, and adorned with mocha drizzle and hot chocolate powder.

Alongside the rumored cocoa-riffic latte is a Brown Sugar Shakin' Espresso that will undoubtedly remind you of a certain green siren's menu favorite (although Starbucks uses its own type of coffee, including espresso beans). Some riffs on the new Lava Cake Swirl and Brown Sugar Syrup round out the potential menu, plus tasty winter treats to whet your sweet tooth. And here's a factoid to make your head spin: Dunkin' may already have a date in mind for its Valentine's Day donuts!

If you are excited by the Lava Cake Signature Latte but want some options, the Instagram leak claims that Dunkin' is also releasing a Lava Cake Coffee and Raspberry Lava Cake Coffee. The latter is said to be an in-app exclusive, along with the Brown Sugar Oat Iced Matcha Latte that marries oat milk, matcha powder, and brown sugar syrup.

For snacks, a Whoopie Pie Specialty Donut and Iced Lemon Loaf Cake might be tempting treats. If the leak is true, the Whoopie Pie will consist of a glazed chocolate cake donut split in half and filled with vanilla buttercream. The Iced Lemon Loaf Cake is another Starbies look-alike that is exactly what it sounds like, and promises to be pretty darn delicious.

Last, but not least, the rumored Winter Menu alleges that January 29th will bring the return of Dunkin's Valentine's Day goodies. Those would be the Brownie Batter and Cupid's Choice donuts, along with holiday-specific chocolate Munchkins that are rolled in pink and white sprinkles. Chocolate is part of the love-focused symbolism for Valentine's Day in popular culture, so it's no surprise that Dunkin' is leaning heavily into the cocoa for January and February.
